The cake portion is very moist and any type of filling can work. Strawberry jam is one of my favorite spreads for toast, but I don’t think it's the best choice for these cupcakes. Next time I’ll opt for lemon or grape preserves for this dessert. A lemony jam or cream would make a more authentic “Dunkin’-style” cupcake. And y’know Boston Creme Cupcakes would be insanely good. Maybe I’ll take those to the folks at WPD.
